Hilary Meredith Solicitors is based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This niche claimant personal injury practice looks after clients whose injuries range from the straightforward to those of maximum severity.  It is particularly recognised for it's handling of Armed Forces accidents worldwide, the high profile of a number of its cases and the compensation recovered.  The firm was voted Insurance Times 'Law Firm of the Year 2006-2007', which for a medium-sized firm demonstrates its ability to punch well above its weight.

The firm was established in October 2003 by Hilary Meredith, a highly experienced lawyer who has been an expert in catastrophic injury compensation for over 20 years.  She previously worked at Donns law firm in Manchester, where she was managing partner.  In November 2004 Hilary was joined by David Edwards a founding partner of Branton Edwards solicitors with 20 years' experience in handling  Accidents at Work and Road Traffic Accident claims.  The firm recognises that some clients' injuries are straightforward and it will move quickly and professionally to bring those claims to a satisfactory conclusion.  Other clients' injuries may be catastrophic or the accident circumstances complex.  In these cases the emphasis is to provide comprehensive legal advice whilst at the same time answering the long-term physical and emotional needs of the injured individual, their family and loved ones.  The firm has associations with an impressive range of independent medical, financial and specialist experts, pension advisers and specialist architects who design homes for those with mobility problems.  The practice also has excellent long established links with social services and local authorities, special needs providers and care associations for those with physical and mental disabilities, all of whom can be called upon to help the injured person.

Hilary's name is synonymous with Gulf War syndrome claims and military accident claims against the Ministry of Defence and the US government.  She holds a number of key public positions including Senior Fellow of Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, fellow of the College of Personal Injury law, member of MASS, panel member of the Spinal Injuries Association and the Brain and Spinal Injuries charity and secretary of the Royal British Legion solicitors referal group.

The firm has strong links with lawyers in other jurisdictions and can offer a no-win no fee option in relation to certain accidents abroad.

Disaster Recovery Suite

Hilary Meredith Solicitors has a disaster recovery suite available for emergency use off site.  The suite has 3 hot desks with PC's and enables us to re-start the office within half an hour of any disaster happening which affects our premises in Wilmslow.  Our computer technology and back up system means the maximum time lost in any disaster would be 1 hours work.
