Hilary Meredith-Beckham has been announced as a guest speaker at the UK's first dedicated military history festival.

The Hereford Military History Festival takes place from 26 - 28 September 2025 at a range of venues throughout the historic city.
The festival brings together acclaimed authors, historians and military experts for 3 days of engaging talks and insightful discussions. Focusing on military literature, memoirs, historical analysis, and war writing, it offers a rare opportunity to hear from the leading voices in the field.
Hilary will be presenting a session on military law on Saturday 27 September 2025.
Other speakers over the course of the festival include Sir Anthony Beever, Kate Adie, Ben Macintyre, Tessa Dunlop, Phillip Sands, and Damian Lewis.
Organisers say the festival will become a place for "intelligent conversations "about conflict, and the lessons the past holds for current moments of geopolitical instability.
Founder and chief executive officer, Christian Dangerfield, said: “We started thinking about the festival in 2020, a long time before defence and geopolitics came back into focus in such a big way.
"I would like to think that we will make a positive contribution to the current debate and that the festival will frame the re-evaluation of Britain’s role in the emerging landscape in an intelligent and multi-dimensional context.”
Hilary Meredith-Beckham is widely regarded as the leading military solicitor in the UK, with decades of experience representing service personnel and veterans.
