Hilary Meredith-Beckham has welcomed news of the government’s investment in support centres for veterans.

In one of the largest-ever government funding commitments to veterans, the Ministry of Defence is marking VE Day by spending £50 million setting up the Valour centres, which will join up local and national services. Regional field officers will be deployed to connect local, regional and national services bringing together charities, service providers and local government to provide more support to the country’s two million veterans across a wide range of areas.
Commenting on the news, Hilary said:
“Research by our firm earlier this year showed that veterans feel let down on a wide range of areas including housing, healthcare, employment, mental health, accident and injury.
“The investment in Valour centres, joining up local and national services, is a positive step in the right direction.”
