Hilary Meredith Solicitors has achieved the prestigious Silver Award under the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) for 2025.

The ERS encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same. The scheme encompasses bronze, silver and gold awards for employer organisations that pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant.
Hilary Meredith Solicitors was the first law firm to sign the Armed Forces Covenant and was previously recognised with a Bronze Award under the ERS.
To achieve promotion to silver status, the firm has implemented a number of initiatives, including ensuring that service personnel/armed forces community are not unfairly disadvantaged in the recruitment and selection processes; having positive policies towards defence people issues and the signing of the Armed Forces Covenant.
Commenting on the award, founder and chair Hilary Meredith-Beckham said:
“We are extremely proud to see our support for the armed forces recognised through the ERS Silver Award.
“As a firm we are committed to going beyond our Armed Forces Covenant commitments to embed supportive HR policies, promote Defence values, and advocate for service personnel in the civilian workforce.”
Hilary Meredith Solicitors Limited was established in October 2003 and acts for armed forces service personnel, veterans and their families. The firm specialises in all areas of military law and recently launched Veterans OK, a new legal advice platform for the armed forces community.
