Poppy Ball 2024, HRH Princess Eugenie of York

As a long-standing member of the fundraising committee, Hilary Meredith-Beckham was honoured to attend The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Ball last night.

The evening was also attended by Royal Patron of The Royal British Legion, HRH Princess Eugenie of York.  Other guests included Prince and Princess Dimitri Lobanov Rostovsky and Lady Colin Campbell.

Over the years, the Poppy Ball has raised over £1.5 million for The Royal British Legion.

Hilary Meredith-Beckham has close ties to The Royal British Legion and was honoured with a Centenary Award by the charity in 2021 for her 'outstanding contribution'.  She is a Trustee of the St James’ Branch of the charity and is also co-founder and chair of the Royal British Legion Solicitors Group which is this year celebrating its 35th anniversary. Over the years, members of the group have representing over 4000 service personnel and veterans with life changing injuries in war zones around the world.  Lives have been transformed as a direct result and members have undertaken Pro Bono work amounting to hundreds of thousands of pounds for injured military service personnel and their families.

Hilary has attended a number of events in the run up to Remembrance Sunday with her firm sponsoring Combat Stress’ Armistice Address earlier this week.
